Strategy workshop for a tech-led service business

The client was a tech-led business that had experienced a long period of expansion and had a clear vision for growth. 

Under new ownership and with an increasingly diverse set of service lines and markets, the client needed a structured approach to turn its vision into actionable objectives and targets (OKRs) for its commercial, operational and back-office teams.

MDS Strategy designed and ran a workshop to support this – generating clear feedback from a diverse set of perspectives. The executive team were able to turn this feedback into specific objectives and targets - with the benefit of "buy-in" from the broader organisation.

Key elements of success involved:

  • Identifying and defining those critical issues with the biggest cross-functional impact.
  • Preparing pre-read material to set the context for the workshop.
  • Creating a questionnaire to set the tone and gather initial views.
  • Designing the sessions with bespoke frameworks to capture and play back the discussions.
  • Acting as an independent facilitator.
