Insight communities

Bespoke insight communities for strategic VOC

Understanding what your customers and markets actually think, rather than relying on received wisdom and filtered gossip, is one of the most valuable inputs to B2B investment and operational decisions.

MDS Strategy builds bespoke insight communities to support clients in understanding the market, their customers, potential customers, the supplier ecosystem or value chain partners.

The "how" depends on the market and the scope of the challenge but can vary from a handful of in depth interviews with critical operators through to a survey of decision makers.

These insight communities can be built from scratch as well as leveraging existing MDS Strategy networks. MDS Strategy also surveys these  communities to get a view on critical issues such as technology adoption, industry challenges, outlook.

Below are examples of communities we have built or are actively developing.

Example from mobility:
station managers

Station managers are the operational engine of an airline's airport presence. They are responsible for turnaround performance, disruption management, and the day-to-day decisions that determine whether flights operate on time and passengers are well served

Insight communities, further examples

Logistics: warehouse managers

Warehouse managers are key to the smooth running of logistics operations and understand the operational pressures of labour cost, automation investment, and productivity improvement at first hand.

Industrial: plant managers

Plant or production managers are responsible for the overall performance of a plant. Beyond leading teams, they are responsible for asset reliability and maintenance strategy, driving continuous improvement and OEE performance, and informing capital investment priorities.

Mobility: fleet managers

Fleet managers are key decision makers in areas such as EV adoption where the need for charging infrastructure is expanding the scope of the role from vehicle operations into energy, facilities, and long‑term infrastructure planning.

Mobility: travel managers

Travel managers set and manage corporate travel policy, giving direct insight into supplier selection, programme compliance, and technology adoption decisions.
